It is very easy to reach Rosa's Ecolodge. We are located a few hundred meters off the main road between Bali and Yogyakarta or Surabaya.

By own vehicle: When coming from Yogyakarta, Surabaya or Bromo, pass through Situbondo and look out for the village Sumberwaru. It is the last village before Baluran National Park. Here the road makes a sharp turn to the right and enters a teakwood forest. In this bend is a village road to the left (north). Follow this road a couple of hundred meters and you have arrived.

When coming from the Ferry from Bali or Banyuwangi the road follows the coast, passes the main gates to Baluran National Park and continues through a teakwood forest. When you come out of the forest the road turns sharply to the left. After this bend make a U-turn and take the village road to the north and the coast. There is a sign board at the main road.

By public bus: When coming from any place in Java, for example Surabaya or Yogyakarta, get off the bus in Sumberwaru. Tell the bus driver to let you off at the Marine Training Centre (Puslatpur Marinir). It is easy to recognize the place, as it has two cannons in front. About 400 m further away the road makes a sharp bend to the right and enters a teak forest. Use the town Situbondo as your first landmark when to prepare yourself. The second landmark is the small town Asembagus, 12 km before Sumberwaru.

When coming from Bali and Ketapang the bus goes through the teak forest. Just when the forest ends, get off the bus. Busses from Ketapang departs from the bus terminal in Ketapang. To go there from the ferry, take a public minibus (Rp. 2.000), a becak (pedicab), or a motorcycle taxi. However, the easiest is to take a bus directly from Bali to Surabaya or to get on one bus already on the ferry.

There are frequent busses between Surabaya and its bus terminal "Bungur Asih" and Ketapang, the ferry harbor for Bali. Ketapang is just north of Banyuwangi. Be sure to take a bus that goes along the northern route over Situbondo. Most of them do. The "Patas" busses are fast and have air conditioning. The "AKAS"-busses are slower and stop longer times at major bus terminals.

Rosa's Ecolodge has a sign board at the main road.

In Sidomuljo: When you have gotten off the bus at the sharp bend, walk down the road to the north. Anyone can give you directions. Either walk (not so far), or take a becak, a horse cart, or a motorcycle taxi. Maybe even a cow cart ! You will for sure not get lost.
